    Review every cut before export

    Everything stays in your browser

Green is kept; red marks are permanent cuts. “Cut from video” removes that range from the MP4; nearby boundary edits cannot bring it back. On mobile, the preview stays docked at the bottom as you scroll through clips.

Detection measures volume; it does not understand words. If a word starts quietly, lower the sensitivity (use a more negative value) or add padding, then check the preview.

The green sections are kept; the red pause between speech is removed. Detection measures audio level and can be wrong, so preview and adjust every boundary before export.

How to join videos and trim silence

      1. Select two to six MP4 or MOV clips with an audio track.
      2. Arrange the clips, adjust sensitivity, and choose how much padding to keep around detected segments.
      3. Review the timeline, edit the in and out times, and preview each segment before export.

      How does silence detection work?

The tool looks for audio below a volume threshold for a minimum duration. Sensitivity adapts that measurement to the recording: left preserves quieter sounds, while right may treat more low-level audio as silence. Shorter pauses stay; longer pauses are reduced while keeping the configured padding around audio segments. It does not recognize words, so preview and adjust boundaries if your recording has a quiet voice, music, or background noise.

      Format, quality, and limits

The output is an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio, resized to match the first clip so videos with different dimensions can be joined. Export re-encodes video and audio, so quality and file size can change. This version accepts two to six clips, up to 200 MB each, 500 MB combined, and 15 minutes total. Files without audio, unsupported codecs, or very long clips may not work.

      Privacy and local processing

Videos are loaded into your browser's memory and are not sent to our server for analysis or editing. When you start the tool, your browser downloads the FFmpeg WebAssembly engine from the jsDelivr CDN; the provider receives the usual technical data from a web request. Your selected videos are not included in that request. See our privacy policy for details.

      Common questions

Does the tool remove long pauses inside videos?

Yes. Pauses longer than your chosen limit are reduced between audio segments; shorter pauses remain. Review the proposed intervals before creating the video.

Can I change the order of the videos?

Yes. Use the arrows beside each clip to move it up or down before analyzing.

Are my videos uploaded or stored?

No. Videos stay in your browser while the tool runs and are not uploaded to this site. Closing the page discards the temporary files used by the tool.

Why might the browser slow down?

Video requires memory and processing power. The editing engine is also downloaded on demand. Close other programs, use a computer when possible, and try smaller clips if export does not finish.
